Kia ora! I'm Donelle, the artist behind Petal Palette. Welcome to my little world of texture, colour, and florals.

I am a self-taught artist based in Auckland, New Zealand. I've always been drawn to creativity, finding joy in the process of making and in the small details that bring something to life. March 2024 is when I discovered textured floral art, and everything instantly clicked into place.

Mixing colours, whipping up texture paste, placing petals by hand, I quickly realised how much joy and calm the entire process brought me. After months of experimenting and refining my style, I began sharing my work on Instagram, where I've connected with fellow artists, creatives, small NZ business owners, and art lovers who appreciate something a little different.

About my work:

Every Petal Palette artwork is thoughtfully painted and completely one-of-a-kind, from the first pop of colour on the canvas, to the placement of each delicate petal.

My work is inspired by nature, florals in full bloom, quiet moments, and the sense of calm they bring. Each piece is made with care and intention, designed to add joy, colour, and personality to your space. Because every artwork is created entirely by hand, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

I think of my art as a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and find beauty in the everyday. When you bring a Petal Palette piece into your space, you're not just investing in an original artwork, you're taking home the care, story, and heart behind it.
